Working Group Whitepaper – KNOW Identity Conference

OWI Working Group

One World Identity (OWI), an independent identity research and strategy company, today released the results from its first In-Person Working Group Session, which took place during the KNOW Identity Conference in late March, bringing together senior executives, changemakers, subject matter experts and investors. More than a dozen influential leaders from across the identity industry participated.

The Working Group collaborated to help define key terms in identity such as “consent,” “data breach,” and “digital identity” that often led to confusion in the industry for companies, end users, and regulators alike. The results proved that major players in the identity space have suffered from a significant communication breakdown.

OWI’s Working Group members not only drafted a set of terms to help standardize an identity lexicon, participants leveraged OWI’s Five Pillars of Trust & Safety as a framework to view their respective organizations and diagnose where they can address challenges and further build on best practices.

The whitepaper offers insights into executive-level knowledge of the identity space discussing challenges and solutions within digital identity, user assurance, fraud, security, data stewardship and risk and compliance. Participants included representatives from AirBnb, AT&T, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Onfido, Upwork and many more.

The 2018 KNOW Identity Conference created an incredible amount of buzz about the identity industry. Working Group members brought that energy to the In-Person Working Group session with the intent of shaping the identity industry and is well on its way in accomplishing just that,” said Travis Jarae, CEO of OWI.OWI encourages interested parties to inquire about joining its Working Group of senior executives, subject matter experts and more, led by Diana Schultz.
