Identity governance and administration provider Saviynt raises $40 million

The Series A round was led by Carrick Capital Partners, and the funds will be used to expand U.S. and international field operations, as well as building out the company’s ecosystem of technology and system integration partners. Saviynt’s IGA solutions allow organizations to secure assets, manage data privacy and risk, and meet various compliance needs. Its system provides identity governance, cloud security, and application GRC capabilities in an integrated platform. [Read more]

Mobile lending app Tala gets $65 million for India expansion

Revolution Growth led the Series C round with a $50 million contribution, with other investors including Data Collective, Ribbit Capital, Lowercase Capital, VP, and Female Founders Fund. To date, Tala has raised more than $105 million. The California company provides consumer loans ranging from $10 to $500, and operates in Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico and the Philippines. The latest round will see it push into India, where it is targeting “a significant underserved population.” [Read more]

Ping Identity joins Microsoft Intelligent Security Association

The association enables members to create more integrated solutions for customers, providing greater protection and detecting attacks more quickly. Ping Identity and Microsoft also collaborate on PingFederate, one of the federation providers to Azure Active Directory. Ping, an identity and access management provider, said the program will allow for faster release of joint solutions, including integration between PingFederate and Azure AD Connect. [Read more]

Payfone expands to Canada

The agreement with EnStream will extend Payfone’s verification and authentication services, including its Trust Score identity analytics technology, to Canadian companies enhanced by EnStream services. EnStream is a joint venture of Canada’s leading national mobile telecom companies, covering over 90 percent of citizens in the country. [Read more]
