OWI Working Group sees Trust & Safety as key issue for 2018

One World Identity (OWI), an independent identity research and strategy company, today released the first results from its ongoing Working Group collaboration, bringing together senior executives, changemakers, subject matters experts and investors. The OWI Working Group whitepaper comes ahead of the KNOW Identity Conference, March 26 through 28, where OWI will host its first-ever live Working Group session.

OWI collected responses from Working Group members to uncover insights into how the private sector engages with consumers. Following a string of high-profile data breaches, companies are more focused on how to collect, use, and protect consumer data with their consent.

The whitepaper offers insights into executive-level knowledge of the identity space at a time when protection of personally identifiable data is more important than ever. Participants included representatives from Capital One, AT&T, BBVA, Experian, BioCatch, and many more.

“OWI’s Working Group is an important part of what we do at OWI, as it aligns directly with our mission to build a community and facilitate dialogue about the identity ecosystem,” said Travis Jarae, CEO of OWI.

OWI’s Working Group will be meeting for its first in-person session at the KNOW Identity Conference on Wednesday, March 28th. Those interested in joining OWI’s Working Group and/or attending the in-person session at the KNOW Identity Conference can contact OWI Working Group Lead Diana Schultz.
