An urban innovation company, focused on improving city life, was developing and incubating urban technologies to address issues such as the cost of living, efficient transportation, and energy usage in smart cities. OWI was engaged to advise on product strategy and constructing a privacy-preserving digital identity layer within proposed smart city infrastructure.
OWI helped our client with navigating the rapidly evolving identity industry in a multi-phased engagement which included product strategy and development, opportunity mapping, market positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
- Our team designed a civic opportunity attractiveness model used in determining primary and secondary identity use cases in a smart city and urban environment.
- The model was used to generate a list of initial smart city business use cases, which were subsequently analyzed, ranked, and built into working prototypes.
As a result of our engagement, our client went to pilot 3 use cases with a top international financial institution.
